Who we are and what do we do?

Welcome to the Soča Rider Rafting and Kayaking Agency (Reka 2010 d.o.o.), a small family-owned and operated business in Bovec, Slovenia. Petra and Gyula (Chasi) started Soča Rider in 2010 with many years years of experiences.

Petra, Chasi, and an awesome group of well-trained, competent, and caring staff, keep a nice, familiar atmosphere in their rafting, canyoning and kayaking trips, and fulfill your personal wishes of maximizing the enjoyment you need for an ultimate White Water experience. When you raft with Soča Rider, you will be directly in touch with the owners.

Our passion for adventure and love for rivers, encourages us to make whitewater rafting- kayaking comfortable, safe, fun, and accessible to our guests here in the amazing Soča valley!

Whitewater kayaking

Soča river is a perfect place to try whitewater kayaking on an inflatable kayak tour or to learn whitewater kayaking on a course as beginners as well as advanced paddlers can find the appropriate section to extend their knowledge or just to enjoy the emerald rapids.

Csaszi is one of the owner, working every day on the river, part of every tour, so definitely you will meet him! He has more than 24 years of guiding experience. He was working as raft guide and kayak instructor in Slovakia, Austria, Slovenia, and as a safety kayaker in Chile. He loves kayaking. He was kayaking in many European countries, and recently made Kayak Expeditions in Peru (Rio Cotahuasi - 5 days, Rio Colca - 2 days, Rio Apurimac 3 days, and Rio Maranon 10 days.) He has a good sense of humor and very patient with our guests. In his freetime (when he is not kayaking:) he goes mountain biking (his brand new passion), canyoning, hiking with his family or sewing professional canyoning bags.

Petra is the other owner, making all the logistics in the company. When you write an email, she will reply, when you make a call, she will answer, Definitely you meet her in Soca Rider Base. In her freetime (as a mum of 2 kids, there's not a lot of it..) she goes hiking up to the mountains, riding a bike, ski touring and ski running in the winter. She also does kayaking on Soča river, but her main passion is sea kayaking. She made longer tours in Indonesia (Raja Ampat, Papua) and in Europe (Croatian, Italy, Albania)

Sonci the riverpro:) Don’t let his youth fool you—Sonci runs our rafting and kayaking tours with insane professionalism and massive experience! He packs the perfect mix of empathy and great humor, because honestly, a good laugh is just as important as crushing the waves. He has ultimate respect for the river and nature. Thanks to his family, who organizes water tours on the Rába, Mura, and Hévíz creek in winter, he literally grew up in a boat and learned the guiding craft early on. He spent his childhood vacations on the Soča, which is exactly where he mastered whitewater kayaking. He’s kayaked all over the place, but the Soča Valley stole his heart early on. Fun fact: as a kid, he predicted he’d guide rafting tours right here one day—and he made it happen! In his free time, you’ll find him whitewater kayaking or exploring canyons with friends. He’s always happiest where the path leads downhill. Bottom line: if there’s water nearby, Sonci is definitely in it!:)

Meet Geri, the "David Attenborough" of our team! If you go canyoning with him, you’re pretty much guaranteed to spot a salamander or a newt—seriously, he won’t let you leave the canyon until you do! He’s been organizing water trips and ski weekends for his friends since he was a teenager, so turning adventure hunting into his full-time job was a no-brainer. Whether it’s rafting or canyoning, your safety is always his number one priority. But his mission goes deeper: he wants to show you the thousand faces of nature and teach you how to protect it. When he’s not paddling, you’ll probably find him rock climbing, hiking, mapping out undiscovered canyons, or geocaching. Ready for your next big adventure? Join Geri on the river or in the canyons!

Boróka the ultimate adventurer. She’s pure energy! After 10 years of gymnastics and 3 years of street workout, Boró has tried pretty much every crazy outdoor activity out there, from rock climbing to cliff jumping. She used to think the goal was to be the absolute best in just one sport. Today? She’s all about variety, recreation, and living for outdoor sports! For her, rafting and canyoning are the ultimate combo—bringing together her love for massive mountains and wild rivers. Freedom is everything to her. Honestly, she feels most alive when she’s hanging from a single rope over the edge, getting hit right in the face by a waterfall splash! Ready for an epic adventure? Come canyoning and rafting with Boro! Step out of your comfort zone—she’s got your back and will show you what true, endless freedom feels like!

Meet Marci, the newest and easily one of the most enthusiastic members of the Soca Rider team! His passion for whitewater rafting and canyoning is seriously contagious—so watch out! 😉 He guides our guests through the Soča Valley with a killer sense of humor and endless patience.He started competitive canoeing as a kid, and later moved on to guiding canoe trips for schoolchildren. Rock climbing was his gateway into the world of extreme sports, which eventually led him straight to rafting and canyoning. Once he arrived in Bovec, whitewater paddling and canyoning instantly became both his full-time job and his absolute favorite hobby. Marci lives his life by one golden rule: "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life." In the winter, he switches elements to chase his other big passion: freestyle ice skating! You can catch him almost every winter day at the City Park Ice Rink in Budapest, either managing skating events or just tearing up the ice for fun.

Milan is our main driver. He is very helpful, has a lot of knowledge of Bovec area, also likes to share it. He speaks more languages, you can ask him any time. He is known for his sense of humor and endless supply of Jokes but don't let it fool you, he is an excellent and responsible driver. He used to be a reputable police officer in Bovec and now he is an indispensable member of Soča Rider team.
