On our whitewater tours, our guides take photos of our guests with waterproof Olympus TG cameras, which we send as a gift after the tour.
Since our guides are primarily concerned with the safety of our guests, steering the raft and trying to create a good atmosphere in the boat, taking photos is not their first priority.
In other words, the photos are not high quality shots taken by a professional photographer, even if we strive for them, but they are perfect as a souvenir.
All photos, in full size, are provided to all our guests.
We do not make videos.
On which tours do we take photos?
We take photos on our half-day rafting, full-day rafting and whitewater kayaking trips.
No photos are taken on our canyoning trips.
On our canyoning trips our guides do not carry a camera, they are there to ensure the safety of our guests throughout the trip. He will check and, if necessary, correct your every move, help you with a step down or a climb.
If you are busy with your camera, you will have less opportunity to do this.
The unfortunate indiscipline of our guests contributed to this decision. Unfortunately, in the world of social media, for many people, when they see a camera, the only thing that matters is getting the right photos of them. So the speed of the tour is compromised, safety takes a back seat because the tour leader is busy taking photos and can't keep an eye on everyone...
It is possible of course to use your own camera, action camera during our tours, please note the following:
Some of our helmets have the ability to mount any camera compatible with Gopro cameras, but we prefer the use of a chest strap. You can attach your camera to our swim vests with a strap.
We don't recommend bringing a smartphone on the trip, there are quite a few of them already in the riverbed .🙂
